The George Washington Hotel

The George Washington Hotel was built in 1923 and opened on february 22, George Washington's birthday. The hotel was designed by renowned architect William Lee Stoddard

It is located on 60 South Main Street in Washington Pa. When first built, the hotel included a movie theater that has since been demolished.

The hotel also contains the largest remaining mural of early american artist, Malcolm Parcell. Malcolm Parcell created 6 murals for the Pioneer room. The Conestoga Wagon, Pony Express, Pack Horse, Stage Coach, Lafayette visits Washington, and Bradford's Escape.

The George Washington has also been visited by many well known people like William Lee Stoddard, John F. Kennedy, Harry S. Truman, Joan Blondell, and Harry James.
Some others are Henry Ford, Lou Gehrig, Lowell Thomas, Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles, The Monkeys, Al Capone, And Bob Hope.

There are many rooms in The George Washington, some of these include The Oval Room, The English Room, The Washington room, The Mt. Vernon Room, The Grand Ballroom, and The Pioneer Grille.
