The Heir Apparent
"The Heir Apparent" by David Ives is an adaption of a vintage French comedy written in iambic pentameter. A story of disguise, diarrhea, and deceit, Ives sets the scene in France 1708. Geronte, a miserly and affluent elderly man at death's door, has everyone vying for their share of his estate in the will he is about to write. With marriages dependent on the will, things take a turn for the worst when Geronte dies before the will is finalized, or so we think. Join the Prexie Performers on December 15, 16, and 17 at 7 pm in the LGI to kick off their season.
