Ensembles

Concert Band

Concert Band is a class that takes place during the months of December through June. Members of this band perform at various times throughout the school year. One of the main purposes of this band is to give percussionists an opportunity to learn about the artistries of different instruments used in various ensembles and even in marching band.

Wind Ensemble

Wind Ensemble is a class that all wind players are required to take. In this class the focus is on fundamentals and practicing the selections that will be performed at the various concerts. Students sit based on previous scores unless they succeed in an attempt to challenge your peer.

Marching Band

Marching Band gives students the opportunity to learn and rehearse marching fundamentals while practicing routines to perform. The Little Presidents Marching Band makes an appearance at different parades and even at all high school football games.

Steel Band

Steel Band is known worldwide and is considered to be a very high quality band. Only certain students are involved in this group and the location of the performances range from around Washington to outside of the country and they often perform at festivals. Rehearsals begin at the end of the fall and last until the end of spring. This group has an impressive amount of pride in what they do and always deliver a quality show.

Jazz Band

Jazz Band is a quality ensemble that focuses on different aspects of jazz such as improvisation and complex rhythms. The Jazz Band performs at events such as the Holiday Concert, Mr. Wash High, and the Spring Concert. This band rehearses three days a week before the school day starts.
