Wind Ensemble
Wind ensemble is the main ensemble at Washington High School. It involves all members of the music department. The wind ensemble will travel all over for festivals and judging at different schools.
Marching Band
Marching Band involves all members of the instrumental music program except those students participating in football or cheerleading. The band travels to all home and away football games. It also participates in numerous parades and events within the community.
Steel Band
Steel Band is the premiere ensembles of the Washington High School Band program and is nationally and internationally known. They have performed throughout the United States and Europe. This group rehearses after school once the Marching Band season has ended.
Jazz Band
Jazz Band is a small ensemble composed of trumpet, trombone, saxophone, and percussionist. The band performs at local community events, concerts and at Jazz Festivals. Rehearsals for this ensemble begin at 7:15 in the morning prior to the beginning of the school day.
