French Lesson
In this portion of my website, I will
give some examples of a few French phrases and I will also give
their translations. These phrases are some of the more general
phrases that you would need to know if you were visiting France.

French Phrase---Translation
Bonjour---translates to "Good Day"
or "Hello".
Au revoir---translates to "Goodbye".
Salut---translates to "Bye".
Je m'appelle Susan---translates to "I am Susan", or
"I call myself Susan". Just substitute your own name
for Susan.
Je suis des Etats Unis---translates to "I am from the United
States".
Tu t'appelles comment--translates to "What is your name".
S'il vous plaît---translates to "Please".
Merci---translates to "Thank You".
Bienvenu(e)---translates to "You're Welcome".
Ça va---translates to "How are you".
Ça va---if used after Ça va, is translated to
"I am fine".
Très bien / mal / pas mal---translates to "Very
good / bad / not bad".
Tu as quel âge---translates to "How old are you".
J'ai ____ ans---translates to "I am ____ years old",
or "I have ____ years". The blanks are filled in with
one of the numbers that was taught in my numbers lesson.
