At townhall

Town Locations

Nookington's:

Nookingtons's is the main "shopping center" of the town. It is where you will purchase most of your items. In the full version of the store, there are are two floors. The first floor is where you will buy flowers, trees, paper, medicine, candy (when available) , and tools . On this floor, you are greeted by the owner himself, Tom Nook. You can sell items in your pocket to him, ask to see your personal catalog, check turnip prices, ask how to use items, and check your visitor points. The second floor is where furniture and other decor can be purchased. This includes, flooring, wallpaper, and furniture such as beds and decorations. When you go upstairs, you are greeted by Timmy and Tommy Nook. You can ask the two the same things as you can ask Tom.

The Able Sisters:

This shop, ran by Mable and her sister Sable , sells clothing and accessories along with umbrellas , hats, and wigs. You can create designs to display for animals in your town to wear, as well, or swap designs with ones already displayed.

The Museum:

The museum has three workers: Brewster, Celeste, and Bathers. Bathers is who you can ask to identify the fossils found. If the museum does not already have the fossil, you can donate it and see it on display in the dinosaur. You can also donate paintings , fish, and insects. If the thing you are donating has already been donated,Bathers will give it back to you.To the left of Bathers is a small coffee shop, ran by Brewster. You can purchase a cup of coffee for 200 bells there once a day. After buying so many cups, you and Brewster will have developed a friendship of sorts and bond over collectibles. He will store the collectibles for you as well. On saturday nights, there are performances by K.K on the stage in the shop. You can make requests or tell K.K how you are feeling and he will play for you.At the end of the song, he will give you a copy of it to play in your house and you can ask to hear another. Upstairs is a star gazing room where you will find Bather's sister, Celeste. You can create star patterns in the sky that will appear over your town on certain nights and tell Celeste how adorable she is, which is very much so.

Town hall:

In town hall, you will see Pelly and your town's mayor, Tortimer. Because the mayor is old and sleeps all day in the back, Pelly is left to handle business in the service center half of the room and the postal side. On the service side, you can donate to the town fund, make a complaint, create a town tune, or get help if you happen to get locked out of your house. On the postal side, you can give letters to Pelly to send to animals in your town or to your future self. You will also find a bell machine that you can use to put bells into your bank account, take bells out, or pay your mortgage. By the postal desk, there is a recycling bin that you can put trash in or take stuff out that you want. It is emptied on certain days, however, so you shouldn't use it to store valuables.

Your house:

This, of course, is where your character lives. As you pay your mortgage, it will get bigger. At first, you will only have a small room with a box , a source of light, a radio (to play music you get from K.K), and an attic where you save your game ( "sleep") and change settings. You later get a larger room, an upstairs room, and a basement. The furniture and decorations you buy go in here, of course, and can be styled in any way you want. Having too much in your house can get you locked out of your house, though, and you will have to see Pelly who will empty your house of your belongings into the recycling bin. If you do not play for a while, your house will get roaches that you have to chase around and stomp on to kill. Outside of your house is a mailbox to receive any mail that you may get. Villagers' houses are the same.

In The City

Red's:

Red's is a "cousins only" shop in the dark part of the city. To get in, you need an invitation (sent to you by villagers) and 3,000 bells.here you can buy rare furniture and paintings to donate to the museum. Red , however, is a sly fox and the paintings may not be real,in which case that Bather's will not take it. Everything in the store is high priced, so shopping there is a high risk. Some furniture can only be found there, sadly.

Gracie Grace:

Gracie Grace is the classiest store in the game. You can buy rare furniture in complete sets and "super fab" outfits. The items in the store do not come cheap, however. The owner, Gracie, charges 5,000 bells at the very least for her designs. The highest going above 1,000,000. When you go into the store, you are greeted by Sable, the manager of the store who is very classy herself. Gracie only appears in the store on a few random days a month.

The Happy Room Academy:

The Room Academy is a business, not a store, ran by Lyle. Poor Lyle hates his job. If you join Happy Room, Lyle's team of decor experts will break into your house and judge it and give you a score. You will receive a letter in the mail telling you want his workers thought of your house and what your score was. The higher the score, the nicer your house is. Well, in their eyes. At the actual building, you, of course, are greeted by Lyle. You can ask about your score or ask about the model room. the model room will be behind him and in display will be the room in your town that best fits the theme chosen for that month.

Kicks:

Kicks is a skunk who sits on the steps of an abandoned building. He will clean your shoes or change the color of them for about 800 bells. If you go to him often, he will do it for free. He only asks that you promise to come again.

Shampoodle's:

Shampoodle's is a salon in the city where you can get your hair and "makeup" done. Harriet, the owner, will ask you questions that determine how your hair turns out. You can change both style and color. If you are unhappy with your hair, you can go back the next day and pay to have it done a different way. For makeup, you will simply swap the face of your character with the face of your Mii, (if you are playing on a Nintendo Wii system).

Katrina:

You can go to Katrina's to get a charm or have your fortune told for 100 bells. She uses information you entered at the beginning of the game, your birthday, to find your zodiac sign and to tell you of troubles or blessings that may be coming your way. Charms are used in your town. When your friends visit your town, the charms will be put into effect.

The Auction House:

The Auction House's purpose is to allow trade between you and your friends. You can take any item that you own and put it on display and purchase items from other towns. The owner, Lloid, looks very similar to the collectable's you can give to Brewster, hmmm.....

The Marquee:

Shows are preformed here by Dr.Shrink and his secret partner, who very few know about. The shows all revolve around the topic of emotion and, by watching them, you gain the emotions. You can use the emotions to react to things your friends send in messages when they visit or just to have fun on you own.
