The Washington High School Band was created in 1927 by Mr.Paul Harding who was Director of Instrumental Music. he was succeeded by Orville Cohn and then Mr. Roger Williams, in 1968 Mr. Paul Weber, and one year later Mr. J. Marc Svaline became Director of Bands until 2004. David A. Dayton was appointed as the 6th Director of Bands in the summer of 2004.
