Our team has a very strong tradition of winning. We have been the champion of our section 22 times, in 1976, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and finally 2012. We currently are the WPIAL AA champions in three years; 1997, 1998, and 2002. We were the WPIAL AA Runner-ups in 4 different years as well.

We have won the PIAA State championship, and that was in 1998, and have a runner-up in the PIAA as well. Our last championship came in 2002 when we won the WPIAL championship, this happened in the same year as our football team won the state PIAA championship. Over all we are an organization dedicated to winning and it shows with our record. Since 1998 we have had 8 section titles, 2 WPIAL championships, and 1 PIAA championship.

	This is the famous 1998 state championship team. They are the only PIAA state championship team from Wash High so far.
