This Years Team
My team and I have all had some amazing improvements over the years. We have great teamwork. We all get along which makes it easy to have good chemistry on the court. This year we are even going to have a christmas dinner with a gift exchange. It is nice to make friends with your team, it is even better when you make a family. This is my team and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Basketball

Basketball isn’t as easy as it might seem. Basketball is a physical and mental game. If you do not have the right mindset to go into the game you won’t have a good outcome coming out of it. Basketball is a team sport. I'm lucky enough to have great teammates that will pick me up when I’m down. Basketball involves five players to be on the court at all times. These five players usually involve a point guard, shooting guard, small power forward, power forward, and a center. These are the positions we work so hard to learn so we can play our very best game.
Coach Josh
We are lucky enough to have Coach Josh as our Washington girl basketball team's head coach. Coach Josh joined the team in 2022 leading the Wash High prexie to a 12-0 record making them number 1 in our conference after a 0-9 record the year prior to his arrival. Due to his massive changes he has brought to the team his first year he has won 2023 coach of the year award.
Coach Papson
Even though coach Papson is new to the team, he is not new to coaching. Coach Papson has been coach since 1996. He has coached and assistant coaches at places like Peter Township, Trinity, McGuffy, and Canon-Mac. He has also been an assistant coach here well before coach Josh took over as the head coach. We believe he will be a big part of our team.
Team Goals
My Team always goes into the season with both team goals and individual goals. Whether it is to beat a team or limit turnovers. This year's team goal is to win the section. Even though we are moving up a section we are still reaching to be the best.
