My name is Conner Roberts and I am a senior at Wash High. I have a love for nature and is actually the reason I did the sport cross country. I enjoy looking at the nature that is all around us.
The reason I made this website is to inform and persuade about going out to see the beautiful world all around us. Just trying to tell you to go out and enjoy the world we have.
I will be going through some of the most famous nature and realism photographers throughout time. I think what they did helped capture so much of the world in one shot.
The first records of photography of a landscape or nature and its realistic features dates all the way back to 1826. The photo was of an urban setting and it was taken by a French man named Nicephore Niepce.
A huge incline of landscape photography was present in 1904 during the victorian era of photography. The photo that truly set every present photo into motion was taken American photographer Edward Steichen entitled "Moonlight."
The photo entitled "The Tetons and the Snake River" was taken by photographer Ansel Adams. This photo sold for nearly a million dollars at an auction just a few years ago. This photo changed the course of photography. This photo was only in black and white, yet it captured so many colors and feelings within a frame.
The exact number of photos that have been taken of nature is almost impossible to track, but it's very easy to tell that over hundreds of millions have been taken. Realism photography is now one of the most common types of photography and has been taken in every country in the world.
American Photographer
Born in 1902, Adams saw a whole different world than the majority of readers of this website, Adams delivered a very new technique of photography with his striking type of landscapes being in black and white. He truly changed photography for everyone, his way of capturing everything to offer in a picture yet only in 2 colors left everyone starstruck.
American Photographer
Galen was born in 1940 which was the start of the bloodiest time in modern history, what makes Rowell so memorable is that during that time. He still captured beauty with vibrant colors using the sky's lighting to truly capture everything, yet nothing at the same time. Leaving the mind just in awe.
American Photographer
Mr. Porter was born in 1901 which was at the same time as Ansel Adams. He differed a lot from Adams photography style though. Porter took "woodsy" pictures and instead of using the black and white landscape like Adams, Porter latched on to the color and highlighted nature with the colors and using the contrasting colors to truly bring it out.
