Before teams begin the Knowledge Check, the Meet the Team segment is played.

    Speed Round

Each team competes in the same category. 10 points are given for correct answers, and there are no deductions for incorrect answers.

    Math Time

Each team is asked two math-based questions. 20 points are awarded for correct answers, and 20 points are deducted for incorrect answers.

    More or Less

Each team is asked two questions, with a set of clues for each. Each question is worth 30 points after the first clue is given, then 20 points if they ask for the second clue, and finally 10 points after the third clue. If the team answers correctly after the first clue, they gain 30 points. If they answer incorrectly after the first clue, they lose 30 points, and so on. If the team fails to answer after the third clue, 10 points are deducted.

Favorite Round: More or Less

I thought it was a close game, I thought the questions were challenging in the categories proposed, and I think the students handled themselves respectably.

Isabella Gillott

Favorite Round: Speed Round/More or Less

I was nervous that I wouldn’t know any answers, but the questions proved to be just the right difficulty, and being the last team to start helped us get a feel for the questions before it was our turn. I do wish I hadn’t second guessed myself, but we still won. Overall, I had a great time, and I am excited for the next round.

James McCarter

Favorite Round: Knowledge Check

It was fun testing the skills and knowledge I've aquired at school against other teams. I saw gaps in my knowledge and am eager to fill them. All in all, it was a great experience, with great people, and I'm excited to do it again.
