Family Owned

Joseph Pillsbury(1890-1948) started the farm in 1934. He passed it along to his son Thomas who then passed it along to his four sons. They expanded the farm to four different locations under the same name. The farms are in Anchorville, OH, Camerage, WV, Underwood, PA, and Areatown, MD. The Pillsbury family holds their farms to the highest standard and invites all to visit the slaughter-free farms.

Farm to table

Pigwood farms began supporting local markets and restaurants with our farm to table process since 1999. Our fresh produce has a better taste and is all organic. The farm to table process has brought in more customers to our market and have promoted our farm.
