Hi! My name is Kurt Adkins A.K.A. Lightskin Delight A.K.A. The Flying Hawaiian A.K.A. Cool Mulatto. As you can see I go by many names, but I am known mostly for my athleticism and sense of humor. I am a four sport athlete and I love too have fun. I goof off probably too much, but I'm a hard worker and I do my best to be kind to everyone. I hope to go to college for the next four years and hopefully play football as well.
Although I play 4 sports, my favorite is football. I have been playing football since I was in 1st grade and I have loved it my whole life. Since my first year I have wanted to play division 1 ball, and I'm hoping by the end of the year I am able too pick up a scholarship offer. I'm getting significant interest from multiple colleges at this point, and I can only hope it results in an offer of some sort.
Even though football is my favorite I also love Baseball. I have been a center fielder since 8th grade and I love playing the outfield. But last year the high school team was short on infielders so I filled in by playing third base. This year I plan on splitting time with our ace pitcher Connor Bedillion at shortstop. I have loved baseball since I first started playing when I was 8, and I could possibly carry on my baseball career to the collegiate level if I am unable to play football.
Finally I will talk about Track. This year will be my third year running track for the high school. Last year I ran the 100, 200, 400, and 4x4 and I qualified for WPIALs in the 100 and 200, as well as qualifying for states in the 4x4. Our 4x4 was unable to place at states but we all had a good time and we hope to return again this year.
This year I played for the Wash High Football team. We prided ourselves on one of the strongest rushing attacks in the State. We were able to produce the 10th pair of thousand yard rushers in WPIAL history, which included myself and my teammate Jordan West. Here are our top 4 leading rushers for 2015:
